UTTARI – The North
The throb of Mughal Emperors & the capital of India - Delhi lies in
the heart of Northern India. It has a fascinating past and stimulating present.
Delhi has been a seat of power for numerous dynasties - be it the Rajputs,
the Afghans, Lodhis, Mughals or the British. Today Delhi is a sparkling
example of old, virtually shaking hands with the new. Apart from the Historial
Architecture such as famous Qutab Minar, Red Fort & Jama Mosque - The
first ever Mosque of World, it has economical and cultural aspects also.
At breathing distance from Delhi stands the one & only one - The Taj
Mahal -a wonder in marble and symbol of Love and Peace. Taj Mahal is Hall
mark of Agra, easily accessible form Delhi. Agra Fort, Sikandra & Fatehpur
Sikri speaks of some of the splendid accomplishments of Emperor Akbar. At
a motorable distance from Agra is one of the outstanding Bird Sanctuaries
of India - the Bharatpur Sanctury, housing number of feathered species.
Close to the North Western border of India is Amritsar, the city of Golden
Temple - sacred to SIKHS. It has a rich history adding feather to it's cap.
Chandigarh one of the model cities of India is a judicious mixture of Indian
and western architecture and planning. It was conceived by the famous French
Architecture, Le Corbusier. About a 100 Km from Chandigarh is situated Shimla,
a trekker's paradise and a heaven for winter sports in India.
Down North lies Allahabad famous for the confluence of Ganges, Yamuna &
Saraswati. It is one of the most scared spots for Hindus. On the banks of
Ganges lies the spiritual and religious Varanasi which offers peace and
solace to the mind. Boat ride on the Ganges is one of the major features
over here.
DAKSHINI – The South
Southern India is the mysterious land which is till date opening its wings
of beauty. Bangalore termed as the Conference city of India, is a feast
for the eyes. Srirangapatnam, Belur & Halebid are some of the satellite
destinations feeding to Bangalore apart from Mysore - the city of Palaces
and Museums has a beautiful & pictures Vrindavan Gardens having beautiful
Lawns and flower beds. Besides Mysore is Madumalai Sanctuary elephants,
tigers, chitas etc. There is no substitute to this almost round -the- year
Sanctuary. In the heart of Nilgiries is Ooty having renowned Botanical Garden
and Lake, a perfect soothing holiday spot.
Down South rests the gateway to sunny South India - CHENNAI. A major metro
and repository of rich heritage has a unique old-world charm. Eighty five
Kms. from this is Mahabalipurm, also known as Seven Pagodas & a pleasant
sea side resort. It has monolithic monuments & stone sculptures. Making
a triangle to it is Kancipuram, having remarkable temples. Another example
of cave temples is at Tiruchnapalli, dating back to seventh century AD &
has a "Hall of a hundred pillars."
The city of festivals - Madurai is built around the famous Meenakshi Temple.
This temple is residence of God Shiva & his spouse Meenakshi. It can
be termed as a standing example of splendour Draviduan Architecture. It
houses a "Hall of a hundred pillars" allowing a Kaleidoscopic view to any
visitor.
Kerala - The land of back waters has one of the finest beaches of India
called Kovalam, 14 KM South of Triuvanthapuram. Endowed with unusual beauty,
it is ideal for sea bathing & other water activities. To top it all
India has Kanyakumari - the confluence of three seas - Bay of Bengal, Arabian
Sea & India Ocean. This trip of India has one of the most pictureous
sunrise & sun set points, complemented by the Vivekanand Rock Memorial
- an excellent meditation centre.
PURVI – The East
The Eastern belt of India offers you a very unique & unexploited combination
of Beach Temples, Islands & beautiful Hills. Bhubneshwar - the city
of temples present two facets, the traditional & modern art, both hand
in hand, making it a sheer delight to experience for all. The crowing glory
of East is the famous Sun - Temple at Konark and the lavish Jagannath Temple
of Puri offers the spiritual & visual experiences which are par exceleence.
Jagannath Temple suplemented by other temples is a beacon of hope and holds
a special place in the heart of devout Hindu.
Calcutta - one of the major metros of India & mucleus of Indian cultural
activities is a port as well as a commercial hub of Eastern India. It offer
number of tourist spots of British time plus Shanti Niketan - The abode
of peace.
The Eastern Hills amidst the enchanting forest scenery nestles a beautiful
Hill station called Darjeeling which provides panoramic view of Himalayas
including majestic Kanchenjunga & Mount Everest. Apart from that you

Climbing etc.
Darjeeling along with Gangtok & Kalingpong comprises of a triangle having

at a glance seems to be out of a fairytale having gorgeous snowcapped mountain
ranges, deep valleys and a major Rhino sanctuary - Kaziranga wild Life Sancturay.
PASCHIMI – The West
The West speaks of rich Indian History & Heritage surrounded by rugged
hills & crowned with forts, stands Jaipur, the pink city & capital
of the Rajasthan. Lavish gardens, Maharaja's palaces plus houses with latticed
windows draped in rose pink colour lend enchantment & magic to the ambience.
Jaipur along with Jodhpur is well noted for exquisite craftsmanship in precious
stones, brass inlay work etc. Jodhpur is one of those cities of Rajasthan
whose impregnable forts standing on the sand stones still dominates the
scene and have seven gates to its distinction. Gardens at the foot hills
are commemorative cenotophs of west i.e. Mandore at North of Jodhpur and
Udaipur, South of Jodhpur. Udaipur is a dream come true for visitors, a
blending beauty with heritage. Situated in a valley, amidst the green hills
on the banks of bluish-blue lake picchola, Udaipur has number of lakes &
pure white marble palaces with beautiful inlay carvings. The Romance of
Rajasthan - Chittorgarh is the place where the Sisodia rulers preferred
death to dishonour. Situated atop a rocky hill, this citadel is a unique
example of heroism and romance.
The western sector stretches uptill Goa - The Portuguese colony which is
a picturesque land of scenic charm, myriad attraction & ornate churches.
The 100 KM long Goan coastline has some of the most famous beaches of India.
To add to the variety is Aurangabad - The most convenient gateway to Ajanta
& Ellora caves, which are a marvel in rock sculpture and a congregations
of temples & monasteries of three world faiths - Hinduism, Buddhism
& Jainism. These are comparable to the Pyramids of Egypt.
Mumbai - The commercial capital of India provides excellent connections
to Goa & Aurangabad, apart from itself offering number of outlets -
the 262 feet high Gateway of India, Marine Drive and Elephanta Caves etc.
