Pushkar Travel
Pushkar Fair is another star attraction for tourists
from within India and across the globe. Ajmer serves as the base for visiting
ancient religious town of Pushkar which is 11 km. It is the abode of and
the only temple in the world of Lord Brahma. The temple and picturesque
Pushkar Lake is a sacred spot for Hindus. During the Hindu month of Kartik
(generally in November), devotees throng in large numbers here to worship
and take a dip in the sacred lake. All roads lead to the lake. During this period the town is transformed into a confluence of religious and social revellery. Villager from different parts come in their traditionally best attire and further add tattoo beauty. They trade and parade their cattle, predominently the Camels, which are presented in their cosmetically best. Come the evening, the entire mood changes to passionate folk songs, dance and music. One feels the serpentine flow within.
Further north is a large artificial lake called the Anna Sagar.
Day 01 : ARRIVAL DELHI:
Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Later proceed for full day city tour. Visit the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid (Mosque), walk through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk and visit the Raj Ghat, the memorial of Mahatama Gandhi. Further proceed for a sightseeing tour of New Delhi, visiting the Qutub Minar, Huyamun’s Tomb. Also drive past India Gate and the government building – the Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s Palace). Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 : DELHI – JAIPUR;
Depart for Jaipur after breakfast. Upon arrival check in at hotel. Later proceed for half day city tour visiting Jantar Mantar the largest stone observatory in the world; city Palace which has a collection of some of the treasures of the wealthiest rulers of Rajasthan; drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the fabled Pink city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : JAIPUR – PUSHKAR:
After breakfast, depart for Pushkar. Overnight at Camp.
Day 04 : PUSHKAR:
Day at leisure at the camp. Overnight at Camp.
Day 05 : PUSHKAR – JAIPUR:
Depart for Jaipur. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day
06 : JAIPUR – AGRA:Early morning tour to Amer Fort once the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire. Enjoy an elephant ride up to main gate of the fort. Afternoon drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Continue drive to Agra and upon arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : AGRA - DELHI
Morning proceed to visit Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 A.D. for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains and Agra Fort containing the halls of private and public audience and the other palaces. Later in the afternoon drive to Delhi and upon arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 : DEPART DELHI
Departure transfer to the airport to board flight for onward destination.
